Baylor College of Medicine recognized its faculty leaders in excellence for patient care at the annual Faculty Awards Day ceremony, held May 17.
Five of the College’s leading faculty members have been honored with the 2018 Michael E. DeBakey, M.D., Award for Research Excellence, which recognizes their significant published scientific contributions to clinical or basic biomedical research over the past three years.
A group of Baylor College of Medicine’s best and brightest, and most compassionate, students and trainees recently were inducted in to two separate medical honor societies – the Gold Humanism Honor Society and Alpha Omega Alpha.
The Association for Women in Science – Gulf Coast Houston Chapter recently honored Dr. Alicia Monroe, provost and senior vice president of academic and faculty affairs, for her significant contributions to science education and promotion of STEM careers.
