First-year students transitioning into the School of Health Professions at Baylor College of Medicine must master time management. This could include settling into a new city, extracurricular activities, staying fit and finding time for classes and studying. For Raymond Martin, it is a little different as he prepares to compete in his third Paralympic Games.
The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted the educational trajectory of medical students when it first began. While students nationwide were not able to participate in the clinical learning environment due to the unknown disease, two Baylor medical students took the initiative to learn more about the response and what they could do in the ongoing pandemic.
Medical students and residents at Baylor College of Medicine were honored in April for their commitment to humanism in patient care at the annual Gold Humanism Honor Society Induction Ceremony.
