Biker riders have new repair station

Dr. Stuart Yudofsky retired from Baylor on Dec. 31 after nearly a quarter century as chair of psychiatry and behavioral sciences. He’s been a member of the BCM family since well before that, attending medical school here before joining the faculty.
Last year, the wellness program at Baylor, BCM BeWell, increased its focus on employee health and wellbeing by introducing a steps-per-day challenge in which participants went on a virtual walk from Houston to Panama City – that’s 1,476,000 steps! Keep those walking shoes handy, because 2016 will feature another Getaway to Good Health challenge.
Baylor’s clinical faculty and staff are committed to their patients’ wellbeing, and at the the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center a new program focuses on all aspects of patient health.
Before the advent of modern communication, pigeons are said to have been used to send messages across long distances. Today, some special pigeons at Baylor are delivering messages of another sort – important information about what’s going on in the brain during navigation.
