The Grocery Resource at Baylor, better known as the GRAB, opened for Baylor students in August 2022, after a survey of students indicated that some were experiencing food insecurity or needed help stocking their pantries.
Between August 2025 and mid-May 2026, more than 1,660 food bags have been distributed to Baylor students from every school and program. In that same time, the College has hosted seven GRAB Markets by Second Servings which provides fresh fruits, vegetables and produce, as well as sweet treats and baked goods, to students and some staffers at the College.
The GRAB organizers in the Office of Communications and Community Outreach call for volunteers, and many in the Baylor community have made it a regular part of their work week. Each Tuesday, employees from Baylor departments, centers, offices and clinics can be found at the GRAB, located in the basement of the Cullen Building, helping to fill grocery bags, unpack boxes and restock shelves. Volunteers spend anywhere from a half an hour to an hour-and-a-half each week.
