The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo garners immense success annually, largely thanks to volunteer committees. A Baylor College of Medicine surgeon and self-proclaimed “volunteer addict” eagerly awaits his return to the rodeo in March to fulfill volunteering duties.
November was a month of giving back for Baylor College of Medicine employees who volunteered for a myriad of organizations, including U.S. Vets, Project C.U.R.E. and the Hermann Park Conservancy.
On June 24, Baylor College of Medicine employees spent the afternoon volunteering at the Law Harrington Senior Living Center, an LGBTQ-affirming senior living center, located in the heart of Houston’s Third Ward.
BCM’s Resource Stewardship and Sustainability Program (RSSP) has had another successful year of recycling, ranking as one of the top colleges in Texas for recycling, as it has for the past decade. The success of the program wouldn’t be possible without its devoted volunteers.
