Health Hint: Get your flu vaccine

Taking care of your health is one of the most important things you can do for yourself. Baylor College of Medicine experts have plenty of tips to help you stay healthy. This month’s Health Hint focuses on flu.

In the United States, it’s recommended that everyone over the age of 6 months should be vaccinated against influenza. The vaccine takes about one to two weeks to give full protection against the virus, so get your flu vaccine now rather than waiting until flu season is in full swing. The season generally starts in late November, peaks in January and February, and is over in April or even May.”
