The 2017 Class of Baylor College of Medicine heard words of inspiration from a national leader in healthcare diversity and were reminded of the responsibility they have as physicians and scientists to those who are disenfranchised.
The excitement was palpable as Dr. Paul Klotman, president, CEO and executive dean of Baylor, walked into the classroom where a handful of Baylor College of Medicine Academy at Ryan students waited their turn to speak with him.
The Baylor community was strong at the Walk for Science, Saturday, April 22, in downtown Houston. But Baylor, faculty, staff and trainees participated in several other events in just one weekend! Take a look at some photos for a recap.
Since being honored with the prestigious Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences, Baylor’s Dr. Huda Zoghbi has been busy, but not just with her research on Rett Syndrome. These days, she’s also answering the hundreds of emails she received from people around the world, including young children and immigrants, inspired by her and her work.
