Every quarter, the You FIRST program honors faculty and staff members from throughout the college for their exceptional work. The You FIRST program strives to create a positive work environment through the reward program and other events and activities.
Dr. Atul Chopra, assistant professor of molecular and cellular biology and of molecular and human genetics at Baylor, was recently named a Caroline Wiess Law Scholar, an award designated to recruit and retain accomplished, young physician-scientists who have the potential to translate scientific discoveries into effective clinical applications.
Susan L. Garber, occupational therapist and professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine, has been selected to receive the Eleanor Clark Slagle Lectureship Award from the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Dr. George P. Noon, professor in the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery and the Meyer-DeBakey Chair in Investigative Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, was honored with the 2014 Ben and Margaret Love Foundation Bobby Alford Award for Academic Clinical Professionalism.
Six Baylor College of Medicine faculty members whose work represents the college’s most significant published scientific contributions to clinical or basic research during the past three years have received the Michael E. DeBakey Excellence in Research Award.
