How long have you been at BCM? Since April 2020

What’s your favorite thing about working at BCM? I have a great boss, Dr. Mary Dickinson, and co-laborers who work as a team.

How are you coping with the COVID-19 pandemic, and how has it impacted your job and the clinic, department or office where you work? I’m naturally introverted so the social distancing overall has been pleasant. I am excited about more people taking advantage of all of the technology available to help stay connected and productive. This season of being unusually flexible and adaptable will be beneficial to me and many others even post-pandemic.

Where were you born?  Lubbock, Texas

What is your favorite kind of food? Seafood (lobster, shrimp, scallops, crab, oysters, etc.)

What is your favorite restaurant in Houston, and at that restaurant your favorite dish? This is tough! I love the BBQ and boudin at Remo’s Café, the crab cakes at Eddie V’s, the meat service at Chama Gaucha and the octopus at BCN.

What’s on your music playlist? Nothing – I prefer driving in silence lately.

What is your dream vacation? Thirty day cruise with Crystal Cruise Line (Dubai to London)

What have you binged watched recently? “The Haunting of Bly Manor”

Complete this sentence: Most people wouldn’t know that I … got my first job at 11 years old working in the cotton fields of West Texas. I wanted to earn my own money for school clothes.

What are some of your personal hobbies? Piano/keyboard/organ

Favorite food on campus? Starbucks, dark roast with a shot of expresso
