Taking care of your health is one of the most important things you can do for yourself. Baylor College of Medicine experts have plenty of tips to help you stay healthy. This month’s Health Hint focuses on the novel coronavirus, COVID-19.
Handwashing is the first line of defense that we can all do right now to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Practicing social distancing, isolation or taking part in a self-quarantine are also ways to slow the spread of the virus. Slowing the spread not only prevents healthcare workers from being overwhelmed with patients, but also gives those that are most vulnerable to the virus, mainly those over 50 and those who are immunocompromised, a lower chance for illness.”
