Type 2 diabetes is a becoming a common disease in the U.S., yet one in four people are unaware they have it. The consequences of undiagnosed diabetes or not treating the disease are severe. A large percentage of people who are diagnosed with diabetes at a later stage already have complications such as cardiac disease, nerve damage or abnormal kidney function. It’s important to know the risk factors and look out for symptoms. If you’re concerned about your risk for the disease, see your primary care physician.”
