This summer, for the 30th year, Baylor College of Medicine welcomed a group of bright and curious undergraduates from across the country into its classrooms, halls and laboratories to participate in the Summer Medical and Research Training (SMART) Program, part of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
A group of Baylor College of Medicine’s best and brightest, and most compassionate, students and trainees recently were inducted in to two separate medical honor societies – the Gold Humanism Honor Society and Alpha Omega Alpha.
Baylor commemorated the holiday season by focusing on community outreach and by making spirits bright inside its offices, labs and clinics.
The School of Allied Health Sciences held its 2017 Commencement Ceremony in early December, awarding 16 Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees, 20 Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics degrees and 40 Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degrees.
The Association for Women in Science – Gulf Coast Houston Chapter recently honored Dr. Alicia Monroe, provost and senior vice president of academic and faculty affairs, for her significant contributions to science education and promotion of STEM careers.
