The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the lives of people everywhere, especially when it comes to educating school-aged children. But faculty and staff in Baylor’s Department of Molecular and Human Genetics have found a fun way to engage kids – and adults – while they are at home due to social distancing – online story time!
From implementing distance learning and organizing virtual research presentations through Zoom and other online programs to updating curriculum to include COVID coursework, educational leaders at Baylor College of Medicine are charting new territory during the coronavirus pandemic.
There has been an emphasis on taking care of one’s physical health during these challenging times, but caring for one’s mental health cannot be ignored. Whether it’s the stress of working from home or homeschooling, the isolation of social distancing or the fear of you or a loved one contracting COVID-19, each concern is valid.
