How long have you been at BCM? 10 months
What’s your favorite thing about working at BCM? It’s amazing to see how Baylor’s research is used to help use treat patients here and around the world. Not every institution has the capacity to create leading research and provide clinical care at the same time.
How are you coping with the COVID-19 pandemic, and how has it impacted your job and the clinic where you work? Although the pandemic is very unfortunate, I am learning a lot and I have been challenged to grow professionally. I usually work on clinical growth projects or projects related to the Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Group. Now, my team is tasked with managing the logistics for the COVID clinic and pre-screening stations. Ultimately, my job is to help operationalize our new COVID procedures and policies.

What is your favorite kind of food? Chocolate chip cookies
What is your favorite restaurant in Houston, and at that restaurant your favorite dish? Star Pizza; Chicago style deep dish
What’s on your music playlist? R&B, Dance/Electronic and Pop
What is your dream vacation? Going to Iceland to see the Northern Lights
What have you binged watched recently? A lot of “Tik Tok” videos. I haven’t had enough time to binge watch any TV shows.
Complete this sentence: Most people wouldn’t know that I … learned American Sign Language and English simultaneously growing up because both of my parents are deaf.
What are some of your personal hobbies? Baking, finding new parks to explore and going the pool, lake or ocean
Last book you read or podcast you listened to? Most recent podcast was “Business War: Boeing vs. Airbus.” The podcast provides a historical overview of market competition between the two aircraft manufactures.
Last movie you saw? “Peanut Butter Falcon”
Favorite food on campus? The chicken rustica sandwich from Mary O’s Café at Jamail
Favorite BCM/Medical Center hangout? The lounges at the end of admin hallways in McNair. It’s a perfect view of downtown.
