As the academic year roars to life, Baylor College of Medicine’s School of Health Professions is now led by Dr. Todd A. Reinhart, who started his new role as dean in July. He will oversee the School’s four programs: Physician Assistant, Doctor of Nursing Practice – Nurse Anesthesia, Orthotics and Prosthetics and Genetic Counseling.
In early August, an orientation was held to welcome Baylor College of Medicine’s newly elected 2025 Term Faculty Senators. The Faculty Senate represents the interests of Baylor faculty across all departments, centers, affiliates and schools.
International crises require global help and support, and Baylor College of Medicine is working to provide aid where it can.
The Division of Thoracic Surgery in the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery recently was renamed the David J. Sugarbaker Division in Thoracic Surgery, making it the first named division in the department.
Dr. Avinash Ketwaroo grew up in Jamaica and knows that the country needs more advanced gastrointestinal care options.
