August is back-to-school time and Baylor College of Medicine is no exception to this. We welcome our newest students in the School of Medicine, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and the School of Allied Health Sciences.
A native of Atlanta, Ga., fourth-year medical student Rebecca Jeun’s interest in tropical diseases began when she was a second-year medical student at Baylor College of Medicine.
Commencement is always special for Baylor College of Medicine students, as they prepare to enter the next phase of their training and careers. But for two students, graduation from medical school also marked the next step in their military careers.
Baylor students have worked to make a difference in the community by organizing and leading a MassCPR event, held Saturday, March 14. This is the second year students have held the event. Ian Campbell has known since a young age that he wanted to be a doctor and became interested in research as an undergraduate student. Now, as an M.D./Ph.D. student at Baylor, he’s merging those interests – with a lot of success.
