Shehni Nadeem, a (very) recent medical school graduate, has always had an interest in human connections and relationships, which is what led her to study medicine after completing her undergraduate degree in philosophy at Rice University.

Student Corner: Community Health Day

Community Health Day is an annual tradition for first-year medical students at Baylor College of Medicine. Student-organized and student-run, the event provides important health services and information to the community. This year, it was held at Ethel Mosley Young Elementary School near the Sunnyside neighborhood just south of the 610 loop.

Student Corner: Arina Chesnokova

Third-year medical student Arina Chesnokova recently served as editor of the American Medical Association Journal of Ethics, where she was able to engage her longtime interest in health policy, while also learning important lessons that she can apply to the rest of her training.
