Baylor College of Medicine’s proud tradition of commitment among healthcare professionals and trainees to the art of healing and scholarship in medicine was exemplified at the March 11 Alpha Omega Alpha induction ceremony.
Election to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society is an honor signifying a lasting commitment to scholarship, leadership, professionalism and service. A lifelong honor, membership in the society confers recognition for a physician’s or trainee’s dedication to the profession. Since the Baylor chapter’s inception in 1949, there have been more than 1,800 members inducted.
Faculty, residents and students were inducted into the society in a ceremony led by Dr. Atul Maheshwari, councilor for the Texas Beta Chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha and associate professor of neurology and neuroscience and member of the Huffington Department of Education, Innovation and Technology.
