New students receive warm welcome at Baylor campuses in Houston, Temple

More than 400 students started their educational journeys in Baylor College of Medicine programs this summer in areas spanning medicine, health professions and biomedical sciences.

The School of Medicine matriculated one of its largest ever classes at 225 students between the Houston and Temple campuses. Of those students, 198 are native to Texas.

In the School of Health Professions, which offers three programs, 74 students are starting classes in Houston, including 39 in the Physician Assistant Program; 25 in the Orthotics and Prosthetics Program and 10 in the Genetic Counseling Program.
