How long have you been at BCM? Nearly 1 year!
What’s your favorite thing about working at BCM? The science education impact I get to make on our local K–12 community and beyond.
How are you coping with the COVID-19 pandemic, and how has it impacted your job at BCM? Personally, by exercising, binge-watching, and Zooming with friends and family. Professionally, by learning more effective digital tools and workflows to better communicate and collaborate with my team and colleagues across the college.
Where were you born? Reynosa, México
What is your favorite kind of food? The one that reminds me of home— Mexican.
What is your favorite restaurant in Houston, and at that restaurant your favorite dish? Veracruzan Picaditas at Polanquito.
What’s on your music playlist? Natalia Lafourcade, Naïa Valdez, and Tones and I, to name a few.
What is your dream vacation? I dream about roaming Machu Picchu.
What have you binged watched recently? During this pandemic, my favorite binge has been “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

What are some of your personal hobbies? Athletic training, reading and illustrating.

Any kids? Pets? No, but I have two, large, beautiful ivies— Juanita and Stacy.
Favorite food on campus? The chicken fajita quesadilla at Landmark Café & Bar, TMC Innovation.
Favorite BCM/Medical Center hangout? The outdoor patio at John P. McGovern TMC Commons— I sit just close enough to where I can admire the waterfall and not get splashed on.
