How long have you been at BCM? 2 months

What’s your favorite thing about working at BCM? The team I work with is fantastic, I have great colleagues here in Institutional Advancement. I am also proud of our mission and values here at Baylor!

Where were you born? Provo, Utah

What is your favorite kind of food? Indian (curry) and Italian (pizza and pasta). Yum!

What is your favorite restaurant in Houston, and at that restaurant your favorite dish? I’m still exploring the fantastic restaurant scene here in Houston after moving from Utah, but I really liked the Burger Joint and enjoyed the Smoke Stack burger there.

What’s on your music playlist? I love music. I am a big rock music fan, especially classic rock. I have loved Queen since I was little and also like Billy Joel, Huey Lewis & The News and Def Leppard. Rock is constantly on repeat for me. Long live rock ‘n’ roll! I frequently listen to movie soundtracks by Hans Zimmer; I enjoy the heroic overtures in his scores. I also enjoy some more modern rock/pop music like Imagine Dragons, Maroon 5, Daughtry, Goo Goo Dolls, John Mayer, and Train. I have quite the lengthy playlist – I absolutely love music.

What is your dream vacation? Sydney, Australia, or Rome, Italy. I’ve always wanted to visit those cities.

What have you binge watched recently? “Seinfeld,” the hilarious classic. I also enjoy “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “The Good Place” and “The Amazing Race.”

Complete this sentence: Most people wouldn’t know that I … can speak Dutch!

Favorite food on campus? Our department offices are located in the Phoenix Tower at Greenway Plaza and I am not frequently on BCM campus for meal times. I have only ever eaten once on campus at the Morrison Café. However, the chicken cordon bleu was delicious.

Favorite BCM/Medical Center hangout? I haven’t explored all of campus yet (since I have only been here for two months) but I like the energy of Morrison Café. Also, the break room in our office is a great spot to chat and test my jokes with my colleagues!
