Before temperatures plummeted and roads iced, several in the Baylor College of Medicine community participated in the Chevron Houston Marathon weekend on Jan. 14. A few runners shared their reasons why with BCM Family.
With days to go before the 51st annual Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon, Baylor College of Medicine would like to celebrate its runners who have trained for months and will lace their shoes to run their race on Jan. 15.
There are multiple initiatives at Baylor College of Medicine aimed at helping employees, faculty trainees and students lead healthier lives, and many fall under the umbrella of BCM Well-Being, Baylor’s centralized internal function for primary well-being initiatives.
Students choose to attend Baylor College of Medicine so they can get high-quality training in science and medicine, but students may also come away with training in another area that they didn’t expect: running.
