Each year, more than 500 residents complete their training at Baylor College of Medicine and move on to their next jobs, many of them leaving Baylor to do so. The Office of Academic Integration is working to retain more of this top talent by connecting graduating trainees with job opportunities within the CommonSpirit Health system.
Fourth-year medical students at Baylor College of Medicine did not let a pandemic stop them from safely celebrating Match Day 2021. Match Day, held Friday, March 19, at medical schools across the country, marks the culmination of the annual National Resident Matching Program that pairs fourth-year medical students with residency programs throughout the nation.
Milestone celebrations look different this year as we fight to prevent the spread of coronavirus, but that doesn’t mean festivities are cancelled altogether. Baylor’s emergency medicine residents and their loved ones gathered via Zoom for a virtual graduation followed by a drive-by parade to commemorate their hard work over the last three years.
