Benjamin Farnia, a fourth-year medical student at Baylor, received the 2014 Carolyn L. Kuckein Student Research Fellowship from Alpha Omega Alpha, a medical honor society.
More than 600 people from the Houston community attended this year’s Baylor College of Medicine Wellness 5k Race/Walk. Hosted by medical students, the third annual event took place Saturday, Oct. 11, with the race starting at Baylor’s main campus and taking the scenic route along Brays Bayou and through the Texas Medical Center.
On Saturday, Aug. 23, 165 Baylor College of Medicine students reached out to the Houston community by dedicating half of their day to service projects as part of the Matthew Carter Service Day.
While all eyes were turned to the World Cup this summer, five Baylor medical students were focused on an international competition of another sort. They participated in the international Simlympics competition in Poland in June, taking home first prize.
