The 2016 School of Allied Health Sciences commencement took place in early December, with 18 Doctor of Nursing Practice Program students, 19 Orthotics and Prosthetics Program students and 38 Physician Assistant Program students receiving their degrees.
Many in the Baylor community laced up their running (or walking!) shoes recently for good causes. Baylor teams participated in events last month that raised awareness and support for autism, heart health, Alzheimer’s disease and colon cancer.
Baylor’s Academy of Distinguished Educators held the 12th Annual Showcase of Educational Scholarship last month. The event featured 22 poster presentations by students and faculty across the college.
More than 50 trainees, faculty, staff and College leaders recently gathered for a “Compassionate Conversation” about violence in our local and global community and what Baylor College of Medicine can do to promote healing.
“You help people with disabilities turn them into abilities,” said Earl Fogler, instructor in the Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics Program, to the group of students in the program who recently commemorated their passage from didactic training to clinical training at a White Coat Ceremony.
