Alex Hopkins joined Baylor in February as director of alumni affairs. That’s given him just enough time to settle in before hosting Reunion Weekend, which will be held April 4-6 on campus and at the Hotel ZaZa for class years ending in 4 and 9.
The former site of Dr. Michael E. DeBakey’s experimental surgery laboratory is still home to innovation. A portion of that space on the fourth floor of the Cullen building at Baylor College of Medicine is the site of the newly remodeled Surgical Simulation Center.
Baylor College of Medicine’s Dr. Elizabeth Montgomery Collins has contributed years of her career serving patients in Houston and abroad, helping HIV-infected children who might never receive lifesaving treatment if it wasn’t for her time and efforts. She’ll continue that work through a prestigious fellowship.
Jan. 7 was an important day for Baylor College of Medicine. On that day Baylor announced a joint venture with CHI St. Luke’s Health, the umbrella group for all of the St. Luke’s Hospital properties, purchased by Catholic Health Initiatives a year ago.
