BCM Family Holiday Cookbook 2025

While the Texas weather refuses to cooperate, we are in soup season!

And this year’s BCM Family Holiday Cookbook features five soup recipes submitted by members of the Baylor College of Medicine community, including a caldo de res recipe from Cristina Flores, senior communications associate in neurosurgery, that comes from her “Pita Pita.” Read more about Flores’ family food traditions here.

BCM Family is celebrating the holidays by sharing 20 new recipes from across the College in Houston and Temple. Looking for something new to bring to Friendsgiving or the office holiday pot luck? You should try Indian Christmas Cake, a traditional fruitcake inspired by Anglo-Indian traditions, or White Chicken Chili, submitted by a second-year medical student.

The third annual BCM Family Holiday Cookbook shines in its diversity of flavors and commitment to coziness. Take your time to peruse the recipes, and add a few to your personal cookbook. Still want to submit a recipe? Email Julie Garcia at julie.garcia@bcm.edu.

Have a wonderful holiday season!
