A special group of Baylor trainees reflected on what humanism in medicine means to them – and they are in a unique position to provide such insight as the latest inductees into the Baylor College of Medicine chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
The 16th annual Henry J.N. Taub/James K. Alexander Medical Student Research Symposium was held Thursday, March 10, to showcase research from Baylor medical students spanning a variety of clinical and basic science topics.
Third-year medical student Arina Chesnokova recently served as editor of the American Medical Association Journal of Ethics, where she was able to engage her longtime interest in health policy, while also learning important lessons that she can apply to the rest of her training.
The division of thoracic surgery was recently honored for improving its patient satisfaction scores, and leadership and staff say it’s all thanks to their outstanding teamwork.
